about Tin Telluride (SnTe) powder
Tin Telluride (IV-VI compound semiconductor materials) is composed of IVA element Sn & VIA element Te. The molecular formulation is SNTE. The maximum bandwidth for direct transmitting types is 0.60eV.

Tin Telluride can be classified as a semiconductor. Ionic crystals of sodium chloride have a covalent bond component. Density 6.48g / cm3, melting 780 degrees Celsius. It can be prepared using a straight-pull method or an epitaxial technique for an infrared detection.

Tin Telluride alloyed into lead tiny lisuride used for infrared detection is a common practice. Tin Telluride, due to its tin air spaces, is usually a p type semiconductor (external semiconductor) and a low temperature superconductor.

Tin Telluride comes in three stages of crystallization. At low temperatures the concentration of aperture carrier in the diamond is less that 1.5 x 1020 cm-3. In the NaCl samples at atmospheric pressure and room temperature, there is tin telluride, which is called bSNE. While the bSNTE is transformed into gSNTE, it also becomes orthogonal phase and spatial group PNMA. The phase change can be characterized by a 11% increase and the resistance of g-SNET will increase by 360%. Teti is thermoelectric. Theoretical research suggests that the performance of n type may be especially good. If you’re interested in purchasing Tin telluride powder SnTe in bulk, please send us an inquiry.

Tin telluride powder:

Maintain constant temperature and air pressure. Avoid high temperatures, flames, and light. Don’t dissolve in water, if you have semiconductor properties.

How does tin-telluride (SnTe ) powder get produced?
1. Weigh the high purity tin, ruthenium, and chemical measurement ratio. Pour into a quartz ampoule. Seal under high vacuum (about 105 Pa). The ampoules were placed into a cold furnace and slowly warmed (about 50 deg C/h), to 435 deg C. After 72 hours, the ampoules were cooled down, until they reached room temperature.
2. Weighing high-pure Tin and Ruthenium in the chemical measurement ratio. Pour into a quartz ampoule. Seal under high vacuum (about 105 Pa). Ampoule placed in cold furnace and rapidly heated (about 200 deg C/h) to 810 deg C. Heat for 5 hours. Seal under high vacuum (10-5 Pa).
3. The electrolytic cell is 1L of the round bottom flask with three necks. The cathode has a diameter of 5mm, a length of 7cm, and consists of 99.99% semiconductor materials. Both the metal and the glass should be sealed. The middle bottle is used for adding and connecting the mechanical pump for exhaust gases. The magnetic stirring device is placed into the bottle of fluoroethylene and stirred. The electrolyte should be an NH4AC – HAC buffer solution (add 500 ml 1 mol / l ammonia and pH 4.5 to a pH of 4.5). The flask that contains the electrode and the solution of electrolyte is vacuumed. After stirring for 30 minutes, the magnetic force degenerates, determining the high vacuum and starting the electrolysis. The anode must be generated to precipitate SnTe in a cathode-anode solution.
4. Additions to the anode can include the addition of metal salt solutions (such as chloride), and the experiment takes place in pure argon at 101.325 KPa with platinum.
The precipitate in the electrodelyte must be boiled under an argon atmosphere in order to encourage precipitation. For oxidation prevention, the crystallization should not be exposed to oxygen until after washing, centrifugation and drying in an argon atmosphere at 120 degrees C for 4 hours.
