Molybdenum Disilicide is an organic compound with the chemical composition MoSi2. It is a gray metallic liquid. Although insoluble in many acids, it is soluble in nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Both the radii and electronegativities of these atoms do not differ much. They also have properties that are similar to metals or ceramics. It can withstand temperatures up to 1600 degrees Celsius, equivalent to SiC. MoSi is soft and malleable, and it can even be used as a metal substitute. MoSi is used mainly as heating elements in integrated circuits.
